Salt Test Strips
Insta-Test Sodium Chloride (Salt): 10 Sodium Chloride strips measure from 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500, 4000, and 5000 ppm in 20 seconds. With this test strip you have to compare the test strip to pictures on the bottle to determine the salt level.
Phosphate Test Strips
Insta-Test Phosphate: 50 Phosphate strips measures the Phosphate levels from 0 to 2500 ppb in 15 seconds. The Phosphate strips are packaged 50 strips per bottle. Phosphates are the food for algae growth and if present require a higher power setting on chlorine generators.
AquaChek White Sodium Chloride Salt Test Strips
AquaChek makes a very accurate and easy to read sodium chloride test strip. The sodium chloride salt level is critical to maintaining chlorine generators efficiency. Without enough salt in your system, your generator cannot produce enough chlorine to protect your pool, creating potential health problems and foul water. There are 10 test strips per bottle. With this test strip you can read the salt concentration directly and accurately!
- Simply take a sample of water from the pool or spa with a clean, small cup until about an inch of water covers the bottom.
- Place the lower end of a test strip into the water sample and allow it to absorb the water. The yellow band at the top of the strip will turn dark when the test is complete. Typically this takes 3 to 4 minutes.
- Remove the strip from the sample and determine where the highest white point appears within the number scale on the test strip. Compare that value to the color chart on the bottle.
